FOUR SIDE HUSTLES TO MAKE MONEY ININ 2018

FOUR SIDE HUSTLES TO MAKE MONEY IN 2018
As you make your New Year financial resolution, it would be very good to include these 4 side hustles in order to be financially potent throughout the year:
1.Freelance writing
If you have a very good writing skill, this business is for you. All you need is a laptop and a good internet connection then you can apply from various websites where freelance writers are needed to secure a writing job anywhere you live. E.g freelancer.com
2.Rent things out
Do you have any gadget, house or land? If yes, this is a potential way to generate income into your pocket in 2018. You can rent out your laptop to someone writing his project and needs a laptop. You can as well rent bags. Yes! That bag that people admire so much that they borrow it very well from you every weekend.
4. Take tutorials
When people hear the word tutorial, the first thing they think of is academic. No. There are so many things you can teach aside boring mathematical rules and big english vocabularies. If you have sound knowledge of photography, make-up artistry, tailoring, even cooking, you can turn your knowledge to money by teaching people who really need this online or offline. You can record a video where you explain in detail how what you are teaching is done and post it on YouTube for people to watch and you make your money as people view it. Or you can organise a seminar to reach interested people.
4. Sell things online
There so many things you can sell online. If for example you are an artist, you can sell your artwork online. All you need to do is to get a customer who is interested in the good or service you have at hand and you bargain and at the end generate income from what you sell. In this, a high-level of trust is needed. This means that you must not put your integrity into question. You will need a high level of honesty in dealing with your customers.
With these, I believe the New Year is blessed already. Happy New year in advance.

APC CHAIRMAN RESIGNS

Abdullai Abbas, the chairman of Kano state chapter of All Progressive Congress, APC has resigned. He tendered his resignation letter on Thursday.
He is yet to give reason for the decision.
An aide to the Commissioner of Information, Faizu Alfindiki, confirmed the development to Premium Times.

I WANT YESTERDAY

I WANT YESTERDAY

If only yesterday could reappear
To cure the living madness in our street,
Tomorrow would  show a signal of hope.

If yesterday could come with her tales,
Recounted by the grey hairs of our land,
When wrongs were not right...

Today would see a signal of hope
Waving like a flag  in the sky to announce
The dawn of a sane tomorrow where virtues dwell and reign.

When my ears hear those tales
Of how yesterday moulded virtuous minds,
Tears of hope rush like a stream from my heart.

I want yesterday in tomorrow.
But today might not bring the desired tomorrow,
Where honesty will fly man on his wings of honour.

Semi-naked thighs parade today's street
Like bones without flesh,
Who knows if tomorrow's thighs will refuse shelter?

I want yesterday that clapped for dignity,
Dignity of a woman that tightens her legs
Until a broad chested being  claim her with a price.

If today could bring yesterday in tomorrow,
My heart would  eulogise the Creator,
For the expelled virtues tomorrow would shower on men.

I want yesterday
That rights wrongs with a voice
To blot from our land immorality.

TRAGEDY OF A MOTHER by Winlade

What else is that which makes joy flow
Like a  rushing stream in the vein of a mother
If not her tendering hands nurturing her fruits
And her breast giving them life?

Blessed is that womb which conceives to multiply the earth
For a fruitless womb is a useless womb
That will rest in a tomb with no flower to give it beauty
When death comes to snatch her life

Blessed is a womb that conceives
But tragic is the laughter of that womb
When her offspring stands afar to enjoy
Fresh milk from a sexy double mountainous chest
As she falls and re-fall before death
Who stands to save her from tragedy

Blessed is the life of a mother
Hers is a blessed memory of tragedy
Tragedy of her only begotten son
Jollying on the laps of delilahs
And eating food served by jezebels

Her tragedy is her paralysed arms
Which could not wave conviction to her son
Who was drowning ignorantly in ruin
That was sweet to his soul and tasty to his tongue
Thanks to death who came to her rescue
And saved her from the unbearable tragedy of her son
To live beyond, where  all wombs are blessed in eternal peace

MOTHER OR WIFE by Winlade

MOTHER OR WIFE?

(In the evening, after farmers have dropped their cutlasses and hoes to enjoy the cool evening breeze that speaks of God's goodness, Àdìó and Arewà are seated under the tree that serves as shade for market women during dry season playing love.)
ÀDÌÓ:
Arewà mi, the one who has triumphed over all the beauty of this universe to arrest my heart and sentence her to life imprisonment in that desired prison of love... My tongue is eager to make a confession to your ears.
AREWÀ:
Hmmm... Àdìó, I tell everybody of how the fight at the bank of Esin river catapulted us into this prison of happiness which I want to dwell till my eyes close and my body becomes stiff and lifeless. You know a day without you is like a thousand in slavery. Tell me that which has escaped your throat to your tongue, and I shall listen.
ÀDÌÓ:
Thanks to her majesty, the sole queen of this milky land moulded by the Creator with utmost patience. I discovered when I journeyed to the world of imagination that you are the life I want. Come with me to the compound erected by my ancestors and you shall find my mother's favour.
AREWA:
Ó ti tún dé ooo. Are you trying to lift me up to the zenith of joy to later bring me down to feed on grass? An everlasting happiness is all I desire Àdìó mi.
ÀDÌÓ:
How I wish I could tear the flesh covering my heart like paper to expose the expression covered by the flesh. Even the birds of the sky lend credence to the fact that my cup runs over of your love!
AREWA:
I will say you said it. But... There is a question that has been dwelling in my mind for long.
ÀDÌÓ:
Arewà mi, a wise being asks to know, for we know only by asking. Pour out that which has turned your mind to its abode. Let me know the question, so you could get an answer.
AREWÀ:
Thanks to him who deserves my heart. I saw you at the market square during the last egúngún festival dancing with your mum. The laughter written on your face communicated clearly the bond of love which has made you stay by her when all your brothers left in search of greener pastures. How will you love her less and love me more?
ÀDÌÓ:
Hmmm... My mother! That woman of valour who sprinkled blood on my face when I knocked on the door of the world! The standing daughter of Arógunyò the great among his ten sitting sons. No wonder she complemented that revered hunter that brought shame over lion in his den by snatching his life with just an ordinary cap. Thou art great where you lay your head father.
I will answer your question now Arewà. How is it possible for a mother to forget the pain of childbirth?
AREWÀ:
 Impossible...
ÀDÌÓ:
You are very wise my queen. The remembrance of that day brings agony to her soul when the child for who she bore that pain forsake her for another. I love you and will love her more.
AREWÀ:
(looking angry)You build mansion only with your tongue. Didn't you say I am the life you want? You should love me than your mother or else...
ÀDÌÓ:(Cuts in)
Don't take it beyond this lane. It is my duty to love my mother more, so as to love you.
AREWÀ:
 I don't understand...
ÀDÌÓ:
My mother told me I should marry a mother and not a wife. Because, a wife has a leg in and a leg in which could go out at any time to drag out the remaining one. But a mother remains till you close your eyes and say bye to the land of the living.
AREWÀ:
Wow! You indeed fed on the milk of a sage.
ÀDÌÓ:
Yes, she is indeed a sage! She is worth a whole library in the land of our white brothers. Would you walk by my side to her dwelling place in my ancestors compound?
AREWÀ:
With pride will I hold your hand and walk you down her abode.
(Happy, they left for the mother's dwelling place)

Pastor says; "No more tithing in my church," after listening to Daddy Freeze's teaching

Pastor says; "No more tithing in my church," after listening to Daddy Freeze's teaching

The founder of The Godist Church, His Holiness, Prophet Ufuoma Bernard has reportedly decided to scrap the payment of tithes in his church as a result of Freeze's teachings on tithes.

According to the prophet's Facebook post, he is convinced Daddy freeze is right after searching through the scripture and critically examining arguments for and against tithes and he believes with Daaddy Freeze that payment of tithes is not biblical.

Freeze rejoiced over the prophet's decision and shared the news via his Instagram account with the caption:

"Wow this gentleman actually has quite a big ministry... I'm proud of him! Lets all stand up for the truth!"

See the price of world most expensive chicken

Amazing...World's most expensive chicken costs $2,500

The jet-black Ayam Cemani chicken is a unique breed that originated from the island of Java, Indonesia.
In 2013, florida-based breeder Paul Bradshaw started selling them for $2,500 (£1,700) each.

The all-black chickens, nicknamed the ‘Lamborghini of Poultry’, were his “most requested bird ever”. The chicken is named after a village (Cemani) in central Java.

Their beak and tongue, black comb and wattles; even their meat, bones and organs appear black. The blood of the Ayam Cemani, however, is normally coloured. The birds' black colour occurs as a result of excess pigmentation of the tissues, caused by a genetic condition known as fibromelanosis and is also characteristic of Chinese Silkies, a black chicken treasured across China.

Collectors covet this bird because it's beautiful, exotic and hard-to-get. The roosters weigh 2–2.5 kg and the hens from 1.5–2 kg. The hens lay cream-coloured eggs with a slight pink tint.
In the past individual birds in the United States of America have been priced at $2500.

British Government Speaks On Support For Biafra

It is glaring that the international community is indifferent about the agitation of Indigenous People Of Biafra for secession in the country.

The British government has finally spoken on the agitations for Biafra, Restructuring and the Indigenous people of Biafra(IPOB) group, stating that they do not support IPOB or Secessionists.
The British government has reaffirmed that it would not support any activity that will lead to the break-up of Nigeria. The British high commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright said during a visit to Joy 109.1 FM in Jos;
“We are in favour of a united Nigeria; we do not support IPOB, we do not support secessionists.
Equally, they have a right to be heard because the constitution provides for freedom of expression, even as restructuring is going to be a major factor in the 2019 elections.

Although I do not know how exactly the restructuring will look like, I am sure that it is going to be a major determinant in the 2019 elections.”

FIFA 2018: Messi blasts Super Eagles

FIFA 2018: Messi blasts Super Eagles

Lionel Messi has pointed out a major problem the senior national team of Nigeria has in terms of how they approach games.
Messi who is expected to line up for Argentina when they take on Nigeria in one of the group D games of the World Cup 2018 in Russia scored twice, the last time Nigeria faced Argentina at the World Cup, which was at the 2014 edition in Brazil.
Grouped alongside Nigeria, Croatia and Iceland, Messi was asked in an interview with FIFA online to analyse the strength and weakness of the team in the same group as his country Argentina.
Speaking on the Super Eagles, Messi said ” One day they score four goals, the next one, they leave plenty of space for you to do anything “, he said during the interview.
His views on Iceland was a lot better than his thoughts about Nigeria as he rates them as an organised team, who are sure going to be tough despite the fact that they will be making their debut at the World Cup.
"Might seem easy, but they (Iceland) are tough and well organised," Messi said before he gave his analysis on Croatia by saying " They give you more room to play but they have great players”.
His analysis of the weakness of the Nigerian team will no doubt give the technical crew of the Super Eagles, a hint of how to set their team when both sides meet on the 26th of June in the final round of group games at the Russia World Cup 2018.

GLITTERING STONE by Winlade Isreal

GLITTERING STONE
EPISODE TWO
In the auditorium of Unity for Christ Gospel Church, honorable Adetunji, a short septuagenarian with a bald head and puffy cheeks reflecting the tribal marks peculiar to the compound of Odetode sat at the front roll waiting for the meeting he called to start. Odetode family is a well known and respected family in Akinlalu for the amazing record of Odetode, their ancestor, who killed a whole elephant with just a cap when he went hunting in a thick forest before the white merchants started coming to Nigeria to buy slaves. He sat on the armchair specially made for him. His protruding belly which he caressed and his fresh skin like that of a new-born baby witnessed to onlookers his status of being one of the crème de la crème of the society. He served as the Minister of education during the first four years of President Obasegun who emerged president after the last military regime. When he was serving, students of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife protested several times requesting proper funding of the education sector. But instead of funding the sector he headed, he diverted the fund to his foreign account. There were uproar in the street but to the shock of protesters, the president turned deaf ears and he was never probed let alone prosecuted. He returned to Moro after retirement to spend the rest of his days serving the Lord till death closes his eyes in the midst of his half caste grandchildren. He greatly contributed to the development of the church and that earned him a honour in the Nigeria Gospel Church. He donated millions of naira to the national body of his church to water the ground for the future political ambition of his son Dapo, who is still enjoying the snow of United Kingdom with his white lovely wife and two boys.
Honourable Adetunji stood from his seat and raised his left hand up to signal to those conversing at the back to move to the front, so, they could start the meeting. Mr. Abiola, the church secretary led the opening prayer while they all chorused "Amen" with firmness in their voice. Honourable Adetunji, the church leader gave a short charge and admonished everybody on seat to contend for the faith they profess. They listened with keen interest, not wanting to miss any of the word he was saying. It is about the kingdom of God and being the peak of the pursuit of all christians, they took kingdom duty serious.
It was time to discuss what made them assemble. It is the issue of the church. "How do we tackle the decrease in the number of our members in Sunday service?" Honourable Adetunji asked. As if the question was anticipated before he spoke, Bro James, the youth leader raised his right hand to signify that he would like to say something concerning the matter.
"I expected people to stop coming to church," he said with utmost confidence, looking straight into the eyes of the church leader, not minding the murmur of the elders. "When a church does not have pastor and the affairs of the church is being treated like a political affair, what do you expect?" His statement dropped with fire with the sound of "hum" filling the auditorium. Many murmured accusing him to have been rude in the way he replied the esteemed honourable who has been to the house of assembly twice and requested that James apologise to him. James refused and his peers supported him. The meeting ended in disagreement between the youth and the elders. It was a word war that made the youths spit fire that burnt through the heart of Honourable till the meeting was closed. It was clear that the youth are tired of his leadership and needed an anointed man to meet their spiritual need.
"If they want the leadership seat, they should come and occupy it. Do they think it's that easy to lead," he muttered silently to himself while enjoying fresh air with a glass cup filled with red wine placed on a stool in his garden that night. It is not the first time he would be saying it. He made the same statement five years ago, not long after he started living in Moro, when the youth wanted a new pastor immediately pastor Kehinde, their former pastor left. He was able to silence them with money. Now, ten years after, they have come again. So, he will have to set up a committee that will search for a new pastor or close their smelling mouth with money. He cannot continue to feed jobless youth who remained idle after their undergraduate studies. He will have to take a proactive step.

Man U and Man City players and staff clash in tunnel as Jose Mourinho is hit on head by bottle

Man U and Man City players and staff clash in tunnel as Jose Mourinho is hit on head by bottle
2017/12/11 01:54:10informationng.com
The Portuguese sparked a row by telling Pep Guardiola’s players to keep their celebrations down, with Blues goalkeeper Ederson taking exception

Manchester United and Manchester City players and staff were involved in a heated altercation in the Old Trafford tunnel which left Jose Mourinho covered in water and Mikel Arteta nursing a cut eyebrow, Goal understands.

City’s players were celebrating their 2-1 victory at the home of their rivals when Mourinho, on his way to a post-match press conference, entered the visiting dressing room.

It is believed that the City players were playing music, cheering and singing after goals from David Silva and Nicolas Otamendi put them 11 points clear at the top of the table.
Sources indicate Mourinho took exception, believing the celebrations to be a lack of respect, and told Pep Guardiola’s men to calm down with a comment in Portuguese that sparked an ugly reaction.

Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson is said to have confronted Mourinho, which led to a number of players and members of staff from both teams spilling out of their respective dressing rooms and into the tunnel, where they pushed and shoved each other.

United first-team coach Silvino Louro is believed to have been in the thick of the action, along with a handful of players from both sides, coaches and masseurs. Goal has learned that City coach Arteta received a cut eyebrow in the ruckus, while United striker Romelu Lukaku is believed to have been heavily involved.

Witnesses claim a number of bottles were thrown, with Mourinho left covered in water after the melee.

Footage of the incident would have been captured by the Amazon Prime camera crew who have been filming a behind-the-scenes documentary of City’s season at each game this season.

However, United denied the film-makers access to the dressing room and tunnel area in the build-up to the game, despite conversations between Ed Woodward, United’s executive vice-chairman, and Ferran Soriano, City’s CEO, in a bid to resolve the row.

The Amazon team have already recorded footage of City’s raucous celebrations following their victory at Stamford Bridge in September.

GLITTERING STONE by Winlade Isreal

EPISODE ONE
The usual cold weather that comes with dryness that cracks lips and whiten people's body has finally come. It is now clear that the year was soon to end with the streets decorated with Christmas light and roundabouts having the statute of Santa Claus erected to mark Christmas. Lagosians have taken their work serious. Particularly, those that have relatives awaiting a present whenever they visit their village. The relatives wouldn't want to hear story. To them, Lagos is a city where naira notes hang on the tree and is readily available whenever lagosians want to pluck it. Lagosians are respected for their extravagance spending when they visit their village, though many don't know the stress they undergo to gather the money they are spending forcefully in the village.
Pastor Salawu and his family could no longer waste time waiting till after Christmas before they travel. Even if they wished to wait, they would have been forced to leave to avoid some notorious elements to draw the beard of the anointed man. Pastor Salawu sat on the cushion chair specially made for his comfort staring absentmindedly at Iya Mission, his wife who is picking the remains of the broken vase that fell while Covenant was taking cooking utensils to the market square where they will be boarding Korope to Moro. He was gone, gone out of the cushion on which he sat to the valley of thoughtfulness that he didn't hear the voice of his wife telling him that the bus driver said he cannot collect the amount they were offering for the transportation service to Moro. When Iya Mission noticed that his ears were shut to what she has been saying, she abandoned the broken pieces of vase she was picking and walked to where he was sitting. She patted his back to call his attention. He looked back with a shock, as if he suspected a snake crawling on his back. He was disappointed at his reaction when he discovered it was his wife.
"Daddy, thinking can't solve the problem on ground o. I'm sure you know that," she said softly depicting in the way she spoke, the biblical virtuous woman.
"I know... But... I just can't imagine where to start after all these years," he told her with a sober voice.
"I believe God's plan is a perfect one sha," she assured him to lift the burden in his heart. After all, he taught his congregation two weeks ago the reason why it is expedient to trust in the Lord, for he will manifest when all hope is lost. "Our God is a living God," he had said. Iya Mission broke the news he didn't hear earlier to him. Knowing fully well that he would be hurt by his inability to defy the situation and balance the requested amount, she informed him that Baba Rasheed, who he prayed for his son when he was traveling abroad paid the transport charges already when he saw her begging the driver with tears forming two parallel lines on her face when she went to the market in the morning. He was grateful, though it hurt him that he is becoming a wretched being who is pitied by all. He hates that life. But there is nothing he could do than swallow his pride and thank his benefactor for their kind gestures towards him. He stared at the wall where he hanged his portrait to remind his dying soul of how promising he was when he graduated twenty years ago from Baptist theological seminary Ogbomosho as the best student of his set. But he was disappointed. The portrait had been disposed from the wall. It has been parked together with the load the children carried to the bus stop. What he could see now is the blue painted wall the portrait was covering. He was still consoling himself with the word of exhortation his wife gave him earlier when he heard a conversation between his wife who was tidying the surrounding before they finally leave and a woman whose voice sounds familiar to his ears. He listened carefully has they discussed until the woman told the wife her name. Of course he was right to have thought the voice to be familiar to him. It

THREE TYPES OF PEOPLE YOU MEET IN LIFE

Life has proved herself to be full of principles. These principles have turned out to establish that nothing happens hasardly. Thus, there is a cause to every effect as Aristotle stated it. But in this world of today,we discover three groups of people living together. These people live together with different spirits governing them. The people with the right spirit tend to have those with the wrong spirit cleaning their shoes while they make exploit in the world. These three groups of people are:
I)THE IGNORANT ONES: These ones are not necessarily lazy. But they don't just know how. The things around them have made them myopic that they do not see opportunities littering the street. They want success and some time desire to achieve success. But their ignorance doesn't allow them. If they are able to liberate themselves from that ignorance by seeking knowledge, their success will be extraordinary. They just have to change their environment sometimes. After all,it is said that knowledge is found beyond the mountain. To get it,one must travel. If they get their mind stretched with new ideas, they can never remain the same.
II)THE LAZY ONES: These group of people know a lot. They have enough knowledge that could make them teach the theory of success in relation to different authors like Bryan Tracy,John Maxwell,Stephen Covey etc perspective. But they will never apply the knowledge they have acquired. They are too lazy to pursue what they know is right. In fact, they know sitting down is wrong. But,they will still sit down. These people are most times scared of people's view about their idea. They are scared of criticism,so they fold their arms and watch as night takes over from the day and the day takes over from the night. If these people can get up to apply what they have learnt. They will experience quick success as a result of their years of learning.
III)THE HARDWORKING ONES: These people are the rulers of our world. They have grown beyond learning to application. They put their best in everything they do and expect a positive result. They are strongwilled. They get out of their comfort zone to pursue their dream. And when they achieve this, they offer to their society a better life.
Above all, hardworking people are great thinkers. They accept responsibility and don't attribute their failure to something else. They believe God created them with a quality higher

I WANT TO TELL OF A WOMAN BY WINLADE

I WANT TO TELL OF A WOMAN
Owólabí:
My ink shall proclaim a woman
Wise in strength and beautiful in walking
Her dangling step in the market square
Set heart of many on fire
That the ashes is expected by their soul
To be cleared by her lovely smile
That drag senses of men to captivity
ÈRÒ OJÀ:
Who is that being that carries womb
Who made hearts to faint and feet to drag?
Let us know the pathway to her door
And find the mercy of the being siring her
OWÓLABÍ:
The pathway to her door is rough
Thunderous is the anger of her father to her suitors
For he considers no man god enough
To deserve his goddess
ÈRÒ OJÀ:
Has her sage the plan to defile her?
Let your index point us her door and we shall dash in
One in, one out until the turn of the most lucky
And he shall consume her ripe fruit
OWÓLABÍ:
Her fruit is not ripe for common wanderers
She is a goddess in search of a god of star
Who twinkles in the darkness of the sky
Who will climb the air and fetch the air she needs
To breathe in love
ÉRÒ OJÀ:
If we, in our unfortunate state can't fly up to the space
And bring a bottle full of lovely air
Gbénró surely can gather our strength and fly
For us all to consume with oneness her ripe fruit
OWÓLABÍ:
Gather your strength and send him off
And when he returns you shall feed on Oníranù
Feasting on gossips at the market square
I have my woman, Olori for myself!
I journeyed on seven elephants
Backed on the wings of twenty and one eagles just to find her door
Her father welcome me with full cup of rage
Sent me off with a bag of laughter
For he found me worthy to be her god

ÈRÒ OJÀ:
Why have you casted heat of sorrow over us
We want what you have
And want to share what you have
But you won't share what you have
OWÓLABÍ:
Go your way and spread the gospel
I have found my queen
My pen can't but tell of my hurdles
Of how I crept into her kingdom
Got the key to her heart and access the heart
Now, go your way and die with your desire
In the midst of silence where lips are shut

QUALITIES OF A 21ST CENTURY GRADUATE

It is no longer news that job has become a rare commodity that graduates in their final year in school, especially in African countries like Nigeria, develop a sense of worries toward the future. But we observed that most graduates are unemployed because they are unable to meet the standard expected of a graduate of this century. So, the following qualities are essential for a graduate of this century;
-Expertise:- As a graduate of the 21st century who stands to compete with millions of graduates for a job, having an in-depth knowledge of your field will be helpful in securing a job. This in-depth knowledge are not necessarily learnt in class. They are products of personal research and experiences gained during an internship program. This also includes a good mastery of how to use computer software. A graduate should be able to work with Microsoft excel, PowerPoint and the likes. That is why undergraduates that will turn graduates are advised to make judicious use of their resources like phone and laptop.
-Good attitude:- Having an in-depth knowledge of your field might not be enough to get a job of your choice. Your attitude can increase your chance of being employable. How do you speak to people? Are you the type that use vulgar expression often in your speech? You have to observe how you treat people. No employer will want to employ someone who will be insulting his customer. Also, you need to be proactive. Do you allow yourself to be controlled by your situation or you stand to change your situation? Employers want employees who are problem-solvers.
Good presentation:- Your presentation matters a lot. The way you dress earns you respect. When you appear attractive before your employer, he's tempted to employ you. Also, you need to package your CV in a way that will captivate the interest of the employer in you. Your ability to use language is also a plus. You shouldn't be speaking informal language in a formal setting.
In conclusion, a graduate of the 21st century is he our she who can learn, unlearn and relearnin this era of technological evolution.

Cristiano Ronaldo Reveals What His Son Said to Him After He Won 5th Ballon d'Or

Portuguese international, Cristiano Ronaldo, has revealed his son reckons he can be even better than him, as the superstar player bagged his fifth golden ball on Thursday to equal his great rival, Lionel Messi’s haul.

Ronaldo’s son, Cristiano Jr was in attendance for the Eiffel Tower bash, along with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, and after scooping the award, Ronaldo gave a candid interview with David Ginola on his life at home.

He said: “I see a bit of myself in [Cristiano Ronaldo Junior], and not only because he’s my son. He told me he will be better than me. He tells me he will win a Ballon d’Or and that he can win five.

“I dreamt of winning one, but I knew it would be difficult. Since I won one, I thought another was possible. However, he insisted that he did not consider the rivalry with the Barcelona ace in his fight for the trophy.

“I don’t think about it much, although maybe subconsciously. My motivation is myself, I fight against myself to overcome myself. I always want to win, to be the best and you have to fight.”

“I’m enjoying the moment, one day my motivation will run out, but I don’t want it to be now. We will see what happens in the future, but now I feel motivated and physically good.”

When asked what he would like for Christmas, father-of-three Ronaldo quipped that another sprog might be on his list.

Ronaldo said: “Another baby… no it’s a joke, we’re going to enjoy the four of us, I want seven golden balls and seven children”.

Ronaldo, 32, was awarded the Ballon d’Or at the top of the Eiffel Tower at the glitzy bash on Thursday evening.

PSG forward Neymar was also in the top three alongside Ronaldo and Messi.

Don’t You Ever Hit A Woman Again In Your Life” – Wizkid Stops Performance To Warn Fan

During his recent show in Uganda, Nigerian singer Wizkid halted his performance to stop an assault on one of the female fans in the audience.

The singer instructed his band to stop the music, as he addressed what seems to be an incident in which a male fan was hitting a female fan.

Wizzy seems to have caught sight of the incident and he addressed it without hesitation.

He said;

“Don’t touch that girl. Hey Mr. man listen to me, one love. Wizkid shows is all about love. We preach love. Don’t you ever touch a woman again in your life.”

Messi: There Is ‘Respect Forever’ Between Me And Mikel Even Though We Don’t Talk

Argentina captain Lionel Messi has revealed that there is a ‘respect forever’ between himself and Nigeria’s captain John Mikel Obi but they don’t talk.

Lionel Messi and John Obi Mikel have faced each other at least 10 times for both club and country and the Barcelona superstar who received a nod from the former Chelsea star during the 2017 Best FIFA Football Awards voting reveals the mutual respect between them.

“We played many times against each other but never talked. Simply a greeting and respect forever,” said Messi to TyCSports.

Lionel Messi and John Obi Mikel first played against one another at the 2005 World Youth Championship in Holland where the Argentine superstar was named the best player of the tournament and Mikel named the second best player.

Both players have been a part of the fierce rivalry between Chelsea and Barcelona, with Mikel Obi ending on the winning side the last time they both faced in 2012.

Lionel Messi and Mikel Obi will be leading their teams when they both lock horns on the June 26th, 2018 at the Krestovsky Stadium for the 5th matchup between The Super Eagles of Nigeria and La Albiceleste in World Cup competitions.

Former Google and Uber engineer is developing an al "god"

The concept of an AI ‘god’ may seem outlandish, but a former Google and Uber engineer is touting the idea of a high-tech 'deity' as a way to improve society.

Think about how much we depend on Apple Siri and Amazon Alexa today. We ask the AI bot for directions, to check on the weather, and to dim the lights in our house. Few of us know the complex engineering required to make this happen, we just trust it will work.

By 2029, computers will reach human levels of intelligence, according to one theory. In fact, Google already uses a bot called the Assistant that can answer just about any web-search related inquiry. Could what we trust and rely on so heavily on a daily basis evolve into a 'religion' or a cult?

STEPHEN HAWKING SAYS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE COULD 'DESTROY' HUMANITY

A well-known engineer who worked at Google and Uber named Anthony Levandowski has founded a new AI-based religion called Way of the Future. The charter? To worship and understand “the Godhead” for the betterment of society.

At least one expert suggested the idea of an AI godhead might be overblown, however.

“The recent coverage of AI as a single, unified power is a predictable upshot of a self-aggrandizing Silicon Valley culture that believes it can summon a Godhead,” says Thomas Arnold, a Research Associate at Tufts University’s Human-Robot Interaction Laboratory.

GOOGLE'S ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE COMPUTER 'NO LONGER CONSTRAINED BY LIMITS OF HUMAN KNOWLEDGE'

According to Arnold, the idea of an AI religion is really more about the tech elite thinking they can summon a religion from “whole cloth” -- similar to how the industry thinks one single app can be transcendent in society or life-changing in some way. Instead, he argues that the cold and impractical nature of technology is not exactly a match made in Heaven.

“The ideas of mourning, loss, tragedy, social justice, and larger responsibilities to a neighbor -- which the world religious tradition have gradually developed resources to accommodate, reflect upon, and offer rich re-framings thereof -- are largely dispensed with in the AI as religion evocations,” he says. God only knows if anyone will worship an AI that’s so sterile.

An AI could write a bible for how to live and expect humans to become subservient. It’s one reason Elon Musk has decried the dangers of AI, saying superintelligence is more dangerous than North Korean nukes. Musk has slammed the concept of an AI ‘god’.

HOW ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WILL TELL IF YOU'RE SLACKING OFF AT WORK

Nonetheless, AI is clearly extending its reach into society. A podcaster named Rose Eveleth helped create an algorithm that wrote an AI bible gathered from sacred writings. It’s a remarkable exercise, even though the result is mostly gibberish. Whether that really matters is open to debate, according to the experts.

“An AI would provide the equivalent of a ‘Messiah’ -- having many orders of magnitude more processing elements than the brain, enabling it to gift us with solutions to the most daunting social, political, economic, and environmental challenges,” says Dr.Stephen Thaler, the President and CEO of Imagination Engines who is an AI and consciousness expert.

Seminary grad and lawyer John Mitchell says humans have a tendency to “worship supreme understanding” -- and that applies to AI. “We [believe] there must be some higher power that causes lightning, sunsets, and crashing waves — or at least speaks to the bottom of our beings, rather than ignore them as ho-hum background,” he says, suggesting the same thing could happen with AI or that AI could help us understand religion better.

HOW AI AND TECH COULD STRENGTHEN AMERICA'S BORDER WALL

Of course, a superintelligent AI would likely not want to be worshipped, preferring to merely guide humanity in ways that we perceive as being (mostly) helpful.

“I would expect the AIs that evolve in the next 50 years to be very rational and, if conscious, not want to be worshipped. If they have the human race'

I witnessed the sale of 20 Nigerian girls and death of...

A Nigerian returnee from Libya has revealed that 25 compatriots, ferried from Nigeria to Libya by a trafficker identified as Charles, perished in the Sahara Desert, in the course of the journey.

The returnee, who identified himself as Alex Otoide, from Edo state, said seven members of the group also died inside a Libyan jail.

“We were 55 that travelled from here to Libya, 25 people died in the desert.More than seven people died from hunger and thirst inside the prison”, Otoide said in a report published by TheNation newspaper today.

Otoide spoke with journalists in a government camp in Benin City.

He said the human trafficking agent, Charles collected the N500, 000 from him with a promise of a better life in Europe. He, however, regretted that instead of Europe, he ended up in a Libyan jail.

He said but for providence, things could have been worse for him as he witnessed the sale of 20 Nigeria girls in the prison where they were all kept.

“They sold about 20 girls in the night. I saw it. It was God that saved me.”
“I left Nigeria with N500,000. I spent six months in Libya jail after the man that took my money ran away.

The Nation reported that many of the returnees look skinny and exhausted while some of the women among them came back to the country with babies, whose fathers are not known.

Charles, the returnees said, is running a transit camp in Libya for those who wanted to travel illegally across the Mediterranean to Europe.

He regularly made a trip back to Nigeria where he persuaded desperate young men and women that he can help them to get to Europe from Libya for a fee of about N500, 000.

But according to the deportees, after collecting the money, Charles usually abandoned them in Libya.

The human trafficking kingpin reportedly operated several bank accounts with different names in Nigeria through which he collected money from victims.

They alleged Charles kept Nigerians for days without food in his camp in Libya. Many of the migrants don’t even make it to Libya as they died of exhaustion in the Sahara desert, according to the migrants.

Osas Blessing, one of the returnees said Charles is among those nicknamed “burgers” or “connection man” on the Libya route.

He said:

“I gave Charles N450, 000 but when I got to Libya he increased it to N600, 000. He is very wicked. He does not care for human life. He is a Benin man. He will say if you die you die. He pushed us into the sea at the wrong time.

“I heard he just left Nigeria with new passengers to Libya. He has frustrated many Nigerians.”
